The troupe is making steady progress northward on the PCT. The most current news on the trail is as follows: Tarzan and Zelda are a few days out of Kennedy Meadows (KM). I am not sure as to the location of Seven, Hardcore Hiker or Patrick. They have not posted since last week. They must be north of KM by now. There is little communication opportunities as the hikers pass through the Sierras.
The latest news on the trail is the fire north of KM. There are 112 personnel on the scene working to douse the brush fire. Currently the PCT is closed just north of KM This is a temporary closure until the fire is contained. Personnel will reopen the PCT as soon as possible. News will be updated regularly. PCTers may have to be rerouted around the burn areas if they want to continue immediately.
