What a morning for a long endurance ride. The weather and company were fantastic.

It's hard to believe that the "mid-season" is already upon us. It seems like just yesterday that we were grinding our eyes out under the cover of my carport while doing threshold intervals on our trainers to avoid the rain.

Those days are long gone, spring is here and so is the wind. It seemed we were in for a HOT summer. To my surprise we have had rather cold conditions by my spring standards. So cold In fact that several teammates set on racing some crazy train in Boulder Colorado had their race canceled.

So much for the heat wave. However this morning was ideal, the winds were mild, the skies were clear and the company was good. For those of you looking to get in an endurance ride mid week, Wednesday is the day. We meet at Foothill and Bernal at 6am. We are back in Pleasanton around 9am.

The typical route will be Moraga. The pace is endurance with some tempo on the climbs.

See you out there.
